Today was Good :-)

Charlie had his first full PT (Physical Therapy) session today and it went splendidly. They worked him over for about an hour and he was able to handle everything that they wanted to try. I was certain that all of the stimulation was going to put him over the edge but he proved me wrong. His heart rate got up to the 180's but it was a far cry from the 220's. Later this afternoon he had another storm but not as severe as before and it only lasted about 30 min. He's sleeping now and were hoping that he'll stay that way for a while. Today they also got all of his meds except morphine and antibiotics figured out so they can give them to him by mouth or by tube in Charlie’s case. The biotics and narcs still have to be given via IV. His "tone" has improved today and he's not nearly as stiff as he has been but this is largely in part to the new meds. Ya'll are great and thanks for the words of encouragement. We needed it.

I love you guys and am so proud to have such incredibly strong individuals as my brothers and sisters (that's you, Ang!). I can't believe how strong little Charlie is and how hard he's fighting. I wish I could take over the fight for him. Please know that I am here for you in any way that you need. I'll be there at a moment's notice if it will help. Love you...

Sleep well little Charlie. Mom and Dad, you get some much needed rest too. I'll give Britty a hug for you in a few hours.
I'm so grateful for Charlie's improved condition / drugs or not.
He is a fighter - as are his parents, family and many friends. We'll all work and pray to help him be the best little boy ever.
Love, G-ma Cheryl

Rob and Ang, Just want you to know that we are thinking about you constantly. You are in our prayers and I put your names in the temple today. Chad is stuck in Idaho tonight due to I-15 being closed. Rob I am sure he is missing his partner. We love you guys. Hang in there. Keep fighting Jack Jack! Love Teri

I think you guys are doing great. It is very hard being in the PICU and dealing with what has been thrown at you. You are incredible parents.

you are two of my favorite people (that's right, you too rob). ty came home tonight just amazed by you and how well you're handling everything. life as you knew it is over (brand new information, huh?) and you are certainly rolling with the punches. i feel so much wildcat pride for you both, for your strength, courage, unconditional love, endurance, hope, determindness (a word?), and a whole list of other pretty remarkable traits in the midst of adversity... you're awesome.

i'll squeeze britt for you tomorrow, and i'm sad i won't see c3 for a couple days. but i'll bring a little magic back for him.
love you.

It was good to see you last night, Angel, and to see little Charlie. I'm so glad today was good. All of us at work are thinking about you a lot and missing you! (But of course you are right where you should be.)

My family is keeping up the kung fu prayers (except Isaiah, of course, who is now "too old for that".)

I am so glad that Cooper had a better day and so sorry that his parents didn't :( The news from the MD's wasn't terrific. I hope that Super Cooper proves them all wrong........but if he doesn't, we will all love him and be blessed to be in the presence of one who's calling and election is made sure. The love we have for this little man is nothing compared to the love his Father in Heaven has for him. He will be watched over and the right thing will happen. The Lord chastens those he loves. Rob and Angel...this won't be easy but you are going to be OK.

oh and Meggie....not a bit offended by the wildcat pride. In fact, the correct wildcat time is....

I too am amazed at the strenght that you two have. You have taught us all a great lesson in having faith and accepting what comes our way.
We love you and are continually praying for you.
