Angel's Best Day :-)

Angel is in heaven, she got to hold Charlie for the first time today. I think it was something that both Mother and Son needed. Charlie met w/ his first Occupational Therapist today and got a little work out while they played w/ him. He'll meet his first Physical Therapist tomorrow and they will try their hardest to loosen him up a bit, that should be interesting. Other than that no real changes, he's kinda coasting along right now and he doesn't seem to get nearly as agitated as he did w/ his tube in.
On a different note Charlie got a great surprise sent to him today. He got a package from the BYU Football Department and the get well wishes of Coach Bronco Mendenhall. It had 4 hats, a ton of t-shirts, Cosmo's video and a couple of magazines. In retrospect this package may have been more for his dad but regardless I owe a big thanks to the BYU Football program and I promise to renew my season tickets. "Rise and shout the Cougars are out!"

I just heard about Charlie Cooper. I came to this blog and read every single post. WIth tears streaming down my cheeks, I must say how happy I am to be somehow (not sure how) related to this incredible family. Little Cooper...you are such a little stud! I have never met you, but you have a hold of my heart and I just love you! Britty...you sound like you are the best big brother, not to mention you have a rockin name:) Rob and Angel, you are so strong! I know the Lord is with you and your sweet boy. The rest of the family...how awsome what you are doing with the house! I am not suprised! Your family is so close and would do anything for anyone of you. My prayers are with you all...especially little Jack Jack!
Love the other Britty

I also am crying as I write this. When I came to see you yesterday and watched Charlie as he did his posturing all I wanted to do was hold him and I am just his aunt. I can only imagine how your arms have ached to hold your sweet little guy all week. Seeing that picture really made my day! Be strong:)

Hooray!!!! I am so proud of Charlie and so happy Ang that you got to snuggle with the little tater. I have no kids but know the healing that occurs through touch and a good loving hug. Rob, know that Mike and Clem are pulling for and thinking of you all. Keep up the good work all!

Ang-That photo is the most beautiful thing....I cried. You have a wonderful family. And I continue to pray for you all. I know in my heart of hearts that Charlie wrapped in his Mommy's arms is probably the most healing thing that he could have at this point. Dawn

Hafa Adai! My heart sank as I read the news in mom email about Charlie. He is such a cute little boy. It takes me back to the time when my sister Cherish was in the hospital and my dad got to hold her. What a hard trial of faith that was for my family. Its now been over 10 years. I cant believe it. I do know that little children are very special to our Heavenly Father and the Savior. Not a day goes by that I dont feel their love for me as a missionary. That love for me is also the same they for you and your family. Its taken me going through my own Gethsemane out here to understand that. It looks as if you are there right now as well. Your family is in my heart and prayers. May the Lord send his "Tender Mercies" to you! From Pres H. "Oh it will be ok!" Love you and value your friendship!

Oh Good for you Charlie! I feel as though when I come to Utah that I have to meet you! I just have to meet this strong little fighter! I'm so glad that he seems less agitated with being extubated. Angel, I'm so glad you got to hold your baby boy today. I bet that felt so good. I can not even begin to imagine the anguish you've been feeling.

Love and Prayers to you and yours!!

I'm sorry excited for you guys! I just love that picture of you. How nice and comforting it must feel to hold Charlie again. I must admit BYU is pretty awesome to do that for you guys, but I'm still a UTAH fan! Love you guys!
Go Charlie, we are still praying like crazy for you.

As a semi Coug fan (MS from there) and a loyal Ute (no degree).. I may have to rethink my loyalty. That was AWESOME.. maybe I can get Robin's nephew who coaches football at the U... to match it (just to be well-rounded).

Angel... wow... the first time I held Jace after he was born and Marley after being in ICU for months... it was unbelievable. It is the greatest feeling in the world. AWESOME!

When I told Britty Stapley Griffith about it, she could not wait to get to her computer even though she was wrestling with her own active sons at the time. I have not met anyone who isn't awed by this whole scene. You guys have brought faith, hope and love back into the vernacular.

I would like to tell Trish and Shani how good it is to read their blogs (cheerful). And Marilee.. great to hear from you as well.

Mom is coming in tomorrow after we volunteer at LDS Hosp. I hope she will feel well enough, because this has been a priority on her "must do"list.

Rob and Angel and Charlie and Brit.. Thank you for what you have done for us...

Rock on! Love Jill B

Angel,
I was so happy to see that you got to hold Charlie, I called my mom to tell her and she was crying. I'm so happy that he is making his way through, especially without the need of extra oxygen. I'm praying my little heart out for you guys. Yay for Charlie!!!
Rob,
I'm happy you got the BYU stuff and I'm sure Charlie loves his oversized t-shirt. Congrats, I hope you seek fun revenge on the Ute fans.
