We're home :)

Turning on the cochlear implant. It took 2 hours for programming and teaching. Dr Such-Neibar stopped by because she was expecting him to be more irritable but we didn't see any change.
Testing the car seat to make sure it supports his head. When we came in to the hospital he was in an infant carrier but since he has grown we needed to upgrade

Coop was so sad to say goodbye to the "baby whisperer" Janine
Goodbye Shannon- We will miss you
Rob had been looking forward to taking Coop in the wagon ride ever since we got here but we never made it so I had to use it to take him to the car just for a picture. Daddy- Coop has missed you this week.
Britt woke up from his nap and was really excited to see his little bro was home. He immediately went and got a stuffed animal for Charlie and placed it in his bed and then tried to tickle his toes when he was fussing. He's going to be such a great big brother.Sweet dreams.
Coop has done fantastic since yesterday morning. He has had several hours where he has been awake and calm. He slept the whole way home and was great pretty much all day. The home health nurse came by to set up the feeding tube and assess him. She said everything looks fine so we probably won't need to see her again. He is also set up to go to speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy once a week. We go back to see Dr. Such Neibar in one month and will get the g-tube changed to a smaller button at that time. Last night it took me 30 minutes to figure out the 8:00 medication but luckily I have already gotten better. Charlie did really well throughout the night and today with only a couple periods of fussiness. I am loving having him home again!!!

Oh hooray!! You have such a beautiful family. I am so glad you can all be home together! Thank you for sharing your little boy with the world. We will continue to pray for continued improvement. I was wondering if and when Charlie will start receiving services from Early Intervention. It is such a terrific program. Taylor graduates the program this month and I'm not sure what to do without our "miracle workers" I am hoping Charlie gets to work with some of the same amazing people who have helped Tay. And I hope you love them like we do!

Best of luck to all of you! You are in our thoughts and prayers!

I am so glad that you are all at home now. I bet he gets better faster now that he is in his own home with his big brother there to help him every day. The meds will get so much easier and you will have it down pat in no time flat!!!!

You truly are an amazing mom. I know that we moms do whatever we have to do for our babies, but you do it so well and with such grace. You are an inspiration to a lot of moms!!!!!

Charlie is very handsome and very loved, by those who know him and those like me, who don't.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to post on the blog. I am honored that you are still allowing us a glimpse of your family.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I saw your link on the KSL website. I've been following Cooper's progress for a couple weeks now. I'm a speech therapist and work with little guys like Cooper. To me, he seems very special. Your entire family seems special. I love my profession and I love being home with me own littles. It's a balancing act, but when I meet kids like Cooper I have to remember that I owe it the Coopers out there to share my knowledge. Thanks for helping me remember that! I am also expecting a 3rd baby and almost have my husband convinced that his name should Cooper! Best of luck to you. My prayers are with you.

I am so excited for you to be home and to be able to learn all about how to care for Charlie. I am sure that it will be such a neat experience and that you wouldn't trade it for the world. The picture of Britton made my cry. He is so attentive to his little brother and knows that he needs his stuffed animal and foot tickles. What a sweetheart. I love you guys!
