T Minus 1 day!

Coop is having a nap right now while Meggie is doing some rocking. He has had some PT this morning in his room in an effort to learn to live without the gym. Last night our little man was able to hurl (threw up) to the end of the bed so Auntie Susie is going to get a bath on the afternoon schedule. Grandma Kathi reported that his tummy has been a bit rumbly today so we are grateful for the venting tube. The goal is to blow this joint tomorrow afternoon, but we aren't going to get too excited yet as Super Cooper has a way of doing things his way!

Thanks for all the prayers and support. Keep your fingers, toes, (and maybe eyes) crossed that all goes as planned.

I have though for many days since discovering your blog, of how I could possibly begin to describe the impact your dear Son has made on me. My thoughts are always with you and I pray there will continue to be an outpooring of miracles on little Charlie. My heart aches for him and has left me with new impressions on how precious life is. I hold my little 6 month old longer these days and don't take for granted the little things. Thank you for continuing to share his story.

Hi Angel: Charlie is so special and you are right he is so handsome!!You are very lucky to have 4 very special men in your life!! ( God,Rob,Britty and Charlie) I will continue my prayers daily after you leave PCMC!

As an advocate for people with disabilities,i have to say that you are doing amazingly well. Teach Charlie the skills to be amazingly great boy and man!! Give him the tools to deal with his "new" normal. While you and Rob may get frustrated by the new
advocacy and bureaucracies that you are dealing with, Charlie and Briity are so worth it!!!!

To see how the story of charlie has developed from being a healthy bright eyed little ball of fire, to being brought down to the edge of mortality and the fight he has given to come back to where he is now is absolutely miraculous. I am so glad you have shared his story with us. For someone so small to have to go through so much, he is lucky to have such a wonderful family to help him through the difficult times ahead. If only all children with difficulties or handicaps could be so lucky. Hope all goes well today, and the fingers and toes are crossed.
