Rob and Charlie just got back from the recovery room. He is already opening his eyes and moaning a little. One reason for the delay was that Charlie had a blow-out during the surgery so they had to stop and change his diaper and the bedding. The docs say he will most likely have a rougher time tonight due to surgery but there shouldn't be too much pain. The bandage on his head is applying pressure to the surgical site and will be removed tomorrow. I'm so relieved that today is over and everything went well. Thanks for all of your prayers
We ran into Christine Morrison from the old ward. She is here with her boy that had emergency surgery.
Karly (a friend of Lindsay's and a PICU nurse) stopped by to say Hi

We love you all and are so happy today was successful! Hang in there sweet Charlie, Angel, Rob, and Britty!
I love seeing that face. He looks pretty Bad-A with the bandage.
Now, I really am going to stop checking the blog every hour and resist commenting. I hope you have a better than expected night.
ryan said he is sad charlie got a bug (meningitis), but he's happy he has a bandaid so that he can hear again.
Hallelujah...Like one of the previous bloggers... I can go back to my regular activities (like watching the Jazz totally destroy the Wizards). Wow! I am so glad this phase is over.. Way to go Charlie... Way to keep them on the toes (they deserve the "blow out" for losing your implant)..
Prayers and more prayers still coming.

Yeah! He looks adoarable in the bandage. It is almost like the old time headbands. If only he had some leg warmers and wrist sweat bands to go with it, his outfit would be complete. I am so glad that he now perminantly has the "U" implanted in him-he doesn't have a chance to be a Y fan now. I love you guys and am so glad all the prayers everyone was saying today worked.
;)
Love,
Paige

I am so happy that Charlie had a successful surgery. I check on him on almost a daily basis & pray for him even more. You are all pretty incredible people to be able to remain positive and faithful throughout all this. What a wonderful example you are to those of us who do not even know you personally! Best of luck!
