Fair to Partly Cloudy :-)

Charlie held out through a very busy morning and did his best not to storm but to no avail. After the bath, casts and some random medical aggravation, my buddy said enough is enough and flew into his first storm in over a day and a half. There is some good new associated w/ said storm and that is Charlie was able to calm on his own w/o need of meds. He whipped to a heart rate of 202 and now he is asleep and at 165 and falling. There is a first for everything. Hopefully this will be long nap. Met w/ one of the general surgery doc’s about getting Charlie’s G-tube put in and they’d like to do it before he gets his shunt internalized so maybe the end of this week. The Infectious Disease Doc’s are confident that after 18 days of antibiotic treatment they can safely stop Charlie’s therapy so no more “biotics” for now. They are going to do a full work up to evaluate Charlie’s immune response so we can tell if after the meningitis he will be any more susceptible to future infections. I have tried my best to be more “calm, coherent, easy to read” w/ this post as I am fully aware of my constant anathema of pretentious diction and predilection of incongruous rumination.

I'll take it! What's the G-tube? When is the eyesight test, have they scheduled that yet? Go Charlie! Way to settle yourself down!! Love and prayers!

Bring on the predilection, I love it!! SO glad that Coop has been more calm and more able to calm himself rather than requiring additional meds. I too hope that you both got some lengthy sleep as well, you need to take care of yourselves too to maintain strength for little Charlie. How's Britt? Tell him aunt Trishie loves him and that I still don't know when I'm going to the fire. :-)

Do they foresee the G-tube being a permanent feature or just through his hospital stay?

The picture of Charlie sleeping is so sweet. He is looking a lot more healthy than in days past. Little steps, little step dear Charlie boy!!! Will keep praying for that sweet boy of yours, and for you too. You truly are an inspiration to many, many people across the country.

i too enjoy the verbal diarrhea of which rob is so fond. however folks, he needs no encouragement. it was so good to see coop again after a week. he does look better, but has much work yet to do. it is incredible the way rob and angel deal with, and are so used to char's behavior. i was in during quite a crying spell (which i loved actually) pre casting, and they certainly take it in stride.

you guys are awesome. and that kid sure has a lot of fight in him. i'm glad he was sent to two stubborn parents. (i know, people can't imagine angel stubborn, but i have seen it) - remember the ride to thanksgiving point :) nobody in that hospital room is gonna take "no" for an answer. love you guys.

Rob, you affection and keenness for the American lexis and your obvious dexterity with verbalization is at times captivating, mesmerizing, and enthralling, while being disconcerting and disquieting all at the same time. Thankfully, our noggins are being educated in more than just what is the haps with Charlie - a two for one if you will. Nice work today Charlie.

I am happy to hear that Rob's "noggin" is still functioning. At 56 I am lucky to remember my name, let alone a plethora of supercillious prose. As one who passed that part of the Act's and Sat's with perfect scores, it is hard to know why all of a sudden my thought process has been stifled so thoroughly. it must be my retirement. What else could it be?

Happy to hear little Charlie is fighting back. I know you two are capable of fighting and I know he is too. So, best wishes and a boatload of prayers..I will make on your behalf.

If you are in the mood to bless us with more "pretentious" BS, I will be glad to translate.

Love you... The Jazz are kicking Butt right now... JIll B

What about the game tomorrow... is anyone going to hold up Rob's loyal banner for him?

Whit, put down the Thesaurus before you hurt someone and Jill, thank you for your extolment. In regards to the game tomorrow, I hope to be there in person. It's what Charlie would want. - ROB

Whilst I have a rather large vocabulary... I suck at spelling. Thus no whitty remarks from ole' Beachquack. Just keep in mind, I had Jill and Viv teaching me the English language.

On the Ute front. I have been reminded by Andy Jensen, that he taught his brother everything he knows where basketball is concerned. He asked me to remind people, that Alex Jensen is his LITTLE brother, and thus would never had made the All-Century team without Andy. I thought with all the fighting going on, this would be a good place to mention it.

Charlie, I hope you get a good sleep, and you dream of the Utes (Sorry Rob). Some day when you're older, I hope someone teaches you what all the big words mean.

Love,
Jamie

PS: I bet Rob only knows all those big words from "Word Of The Day" toilet paper anyway.

PPS: Who ever thought something such as little Charlie would bring a large extended family so close togther... even if it's mainly on a blog! Way to go Charlie!!!
