Relief :)
He is done with surgery and all went well. He went in at 9:20, the surgeon came out to talk to me at 10:02 and then I was able to go back to the recovery room with him at 10:45. He looks really good. There are two incisions one behind his ear and one in his abdomen. They stitched up the hole in his head where the drain used to come out. The rest of his day may include audiology, ENT consult, PT/OT. Thanks for the support and prayers.

Yeah! I'm happy to hear everything went well. Recover well, little friend! You too, Angel.
Wow busy day!! I am glad to hear all went well. So does the drain go in to his abdomen or does it come outside the body?
Whew... sigh of relief! Way to go sweet charlie! Ang you are one strong chickie! Love you!
I love that you (plural) are done with the surgery before it was even scheduled to start! I also love that it was a "run-of-the-mill" shunt insertion. No more of this "first, only, worst, most" stuff. Way to go, Charlie!!!
Glad to hear it.

Nice going, Charlie! Wow, what a trial and/or adventure you are having (my mom always uses the term "adventure"). Bless you all, Rob and Angel and Cheryl and Kathie..Rob, you are doing what you must.. I know you would love to be there every minute, but Charlie needs you all to keep going.
